 It helps to start pleasuring yourself then describe to him what you are doing and how it feels for you. Then think about what you would do to him or want him to do to you and try to descibe it.
Try and think ahead of time what goes through your mind when you two are together then take time to put it into words. It doesn't really come naturally to many people but with practice you do get better at it.

 I guess just start talking about things that turn you on. Maybe ask him something along the lines of "if you were here with me right now, what would you do?". Or maybe tell him what you want to do to him.It can be daunting at first but you'll soon see who will take the lead and it will just go from there. If you're shy, maybe you'll want him to take the lead in this type of thing, seeing as you mentioned you have trouble getting your words out :)
