Then see if you two can get together, it would be a great time to find common interests. That reason makes sense so you don't have anything to worry about it. I know its hard to get around to places at this time of your life but that will pass in most cases. He is probably a really good guy so don't give up on trying to keep him talking so you two can get closer together.

I'm sorry to hear that. Does he just not want to go? Like he still wants to be your bf but maybe he is nervous about the whole dance social scene. Maybe you two could spend some time together, just the two of you instead. Or I really hate to say it but maybe he just doesn't like you in the same way. If that is the case and he's blowing you off like this then find someone better especially to be your first kiss.
I hope he's just shy cause the shy guys are usually really sweet.

Thats good to hear and I think that that will be really sweet. Once you two start to get more comfortable with each other things will start to flow.
Hope the dance goes well.

Don't be afraid to cuttle up to him. He should get the idea that you are really into him and start to hold you more. He's probably nervous too, so hold his hand, rest your head on his shoulder or some other physical contact. The subtle things will let him get more comfortable with you and things will go from there. Also don't be afraid with making the first move to hold on to him it will be a huge relief for you both.
