writes:Please help me! I'm 13 years old and have recently moved to a new school. I really like a boy in my year! Since being at the school I made friends with a boy called Robert who I thought was a really good mate. Me and my friend decided to tell him who we fancied because we thought we could trust him, but we thought wrong. In a maths lesson he shouted out "Oh by the way Lucy, Sam knows you fancy him!" and most people heard him. They didn't really take that much notice though but I was mortified. Before that happenned though we used to tease him because he likes a girl called Amber but everyone already knows it because they always hang araound together. She's not allowed to go out with boys though yet. I think that he felt angry and took all the teasing the wrong way. But since the maths lesson he's been black maling me and saying that he didn't promise that he wouldn't tell anyone who I liked and that if I treat him nicely then he won't be evil towards me. I don't want to be friends with a boy like him but I don't want him to tell everyone who i like! I haven't told my mum about it either, only my best friends. What should I do? And if he tells everyone then how should i handle it? Should I admit that i like Sam or deny it? Please help me quickly! I'm so worried! and also Sam has a girlfriend!

reader, anonymous, writes (27 March 2007): You have to stand up to him from day one or he will think you are scared of him and things will get worse. I know, because my kids have been there before. Just tell him to his face that you will never tell him another thing again, and your friendship is over. If he shouts anything else out in the future then deny it, just laugh it off. Don't tell him anything more and certainly don't be blackmailed by him. If he persists then tell a teacher.

 hello the best way to do with that, to go towards him and say hey you have nothing to do with me any more and stop that . becouse you cant live your day with fear becouse of stupid things, stand for your right if you dont do that you will lose it.good luck

reader, anonymous, writes (27 March 2007): well you treat people the way you want to be treated maybe hes just teasing you as well? I don't know but if he tells the guy just deny it, just remember tho you do stuff like that to other people it will come around and bite you in the butt
