writes:OK, so I'm not sure if this girl was serious or if she was just messing with me, but it's bugging me quite the bit.Last night I was with my friend and two girls, I hooked up with one of them a few times, but her friend kept on saying how she thinks I am going to turn out to be gay, I figured it was a joke at first, but she carried it on all night long.She seemed almost serious about it saying she thought I was gay, which doesn't make any since because she knows I like her friend.So what do you think? And don't get me wrong, I dont have anything against gay people, I just don't want girls getting gay vibes from me. Reply to this Question

These days the word gay and references to liking the same sex gets thrown around a lot, its more acceptable than ever. Have you seen MTV lately? But still I can see how you might get offended if someone thinks you might be gay when you definitely know you are not.
So you're not gay. You know it. The girls you slept with know it.
There are of course men who act effeminate but are not gay. Do you see yourself that way? DO you find yourself talking to girls about things only girls talk about? You know: clothing, make-up, babies, the latest Paris Hilton gossip, and all things cute. Me, I'm just not that way, and on certain subjects I stay out of the conversation. If you openly talk to girls about everything, you will get mixed results....on the one hand they will think you are cool and cute, but on the other hand you could be seen as gay.
Its funny but the women I work with sometimes think I'm quiet. But truthfully, the conversations they have amongst themselves are on a totally different world from me, so I will stay out of it. If I did have something to say about how nice a purse looked, yah you might think I'm gay.
In the long run you have to be yourself and not worry about what other people say. And like I suggested, maybe the girl likes you and is trying to push your buttons calling you gay.

hiya!well to be honest i think gay guys rock! lol but it must be bad if you want girls to be interested in you and they keep thinking you're gay.dont worry hun :) if this girl likes you, then she obviously doesnt think you're gay. if you tell her your not gay then you're not. i think you probably know yourself pretty well.....i dont know what you look like but maybe if you're thin and not muscley, you might want to start goignt to the gym or summing. but if someone likes you , they should like you for who you are,not what you look like.have one of these *virtual hug*anyway hope i helped.please feel free to mail me about anything else you want to talk about.lolelliexxx

reader, anonymous, writes (16 December 2007): first if you know you are not gay then dont worry to much about it you know who you are and how you feel, have you thought mabe this girl could be jelous? she obviously knows you are not gay and she knows you like her friend. mabe she is teaseing you and because she is mabe seeing a reaction she is carrying it on young adults can sometimes be a bit immature i think the best idea is to try and have a word with her explain that what she is saying is becomeing anoying and would be thankfull if she stoped. i dont think that by one girl saying she thinks you are gay is going to give every other female the impression you are gay.
