 Ok I don't know how your dances go but here is how mine was- slow dancing and dirty dancing. The girl grinds on the guy etc and he does not have to have any skill at all, just kind of stand behind her put your hands on her hips. Slow dancing is very easy, it is just like a long hug and you sway back and forth slowly. My advice is to try not to look awkward. Act crazy and have fun if you want to, no one will laugh at you but with you. If you stand looking at your feet and not even trying is when you stand out- in a bad way. Most guys can't dance so don't even worry about it. Good luck and have fun !

I had the exact same problem. But I didnt let it bother me as I knew I would be tanked by the time it came to dance!
But seriously, I couldnt dance but just went with the flow...you've left it way too late to learn now so just make sure you don't step on her toes!

In short, don't worry. Most guys can't dance at prom time theses days. Go ahead, randomly ask a few of your male classmates if THEY can dance.

 Oh...my bf couldn't dance it our prom either, he spent the entire night on my feet. well...maybe look into soem dance lessons, maybe at your local dance studio nothing to big just maybe teach u some tempo, with the right beat you can dance to anything, good luck, and even if you can't dance, have fun. Prom is a once in a lifetime things. =]

Devil says: Mostly the girls are the ones dancing the most so you don't have too much to worry about unless its slow dancing if it is just go with the flow and hold her waist.
in most fast songs people will be dancing dirty unless your teachers don't let you ...again girls mostly do all the moving ....just let her know that your having fun :D

 Oh ypu poor thing!! Switch on some good sounds and just feel the music and let your body go with it. One thing I know for sure is that your date will have such high heels on she wont be able to dance anyway except for smooching and that's just about being close and swaying in time to the music. Enjoy it!!!!!
