I had unprotected sex two weeks ago, I am nauseous, I smell everything, by breast are a little bigger but not sore. My period is 9 days late. I took pregnancy test a very very faint line makes me question if it is really there, but when I held it to the light I could not see it, but when it was kind of out of the light I could. Has this happened to anyone. Thanks!! Anxiously hiding!!

Hello there, i recently found out i was pregnant. Like you my period was late i done a test it came out very faint, i then done another it came out negative. My breasts and was very tired all the time so i done another test 2 days later and it came out positive but very faint lines. so went to my doctor and she done 2 tests on me her first came out negative and 2nd came out positive with another very faint line. I am now 2 months pregnant with my second daughter. So my advice to you would be to go and see your GP as soon as possible and get her/him to confirm it for you. I was feeling very negative about the whole pregnacy thing but got my first scan yesterday and it melted my heart to watch my baby and see its little heart beating.I wish you the best of luck!!

It sounds quite possible - so now you need to go along to your doctors and maybe have another test done. But don't leave it too late incase you decide to get rid of the baby, in which case time is the essence.

Take care

Wendyg agony auntYou could be feeling all these things because you think the pregnancy test may have read positive. The mind plays serious tricks on us. Im not saying you dont feel these things, but the delay of the period is often the worry or stress or indeed the excitement and then we think, oh I feel sick, ive got tender breasts and so on... we convince ourselves that we are pregnant, either because we want to be or we are scared to be. In your case hun a second test would be in order to find out for sure.

I know the test you mean and I think I know what your getting at, I think the line is there present before hand kind off ready to be lit up so to speak... it shows up properly and darker when it detects the hormone. I think you were looking too much to be honest.

Either take another test one of those digital ones, that literally says Pregnant or not pregnant, or pop to your doctor and get them to do one for you. Tests are more accurate these days than they ever have been, but going to the doctors will give you the correct reading straight away without having to wonder if it was right or wrong.

Hope its the result you want hun.

Take care x

Midge agony auntThe best pregnancy test is a blood test. It doesnt lie! However those home pregnancy tests can sometimes be wrong. I know, because 9 years ago, my test was positive, and when I blood tests done, I wasnt pregnant.

Go get it checked today!
