We get on so well and I think if I could just organize the perfect date that the rest will be history. I already thought of ice skating or hooking up a projector for a movie outside in the park. I really like the idea of watching a movie outside with her but she hates the cold so maybe i'll do something else. Any good ideas for an awesome first date? Reply to this Question Share |

Ice skating is a good idea if she can already ice skate.
I wouldn't suggest an outdoor date at the moment. Not if the Irish weather is anything like the British weather right now. It could prove to be a washout.
Personally I don't think you can beat going out for something to eat as a first date. You get to sit and chat with your date and find out more about them. Just make it somewhere nice and pretty or nice and cozy rather than a fast food joint. If you can't stretch to a whole meal, take her out for ice cream or gelato or waffles or pancakes or even hot chocolate and cupcakes.
I can think of loads of ideas for real "wow" dates but unfortunately they require money or transport and most people in your age category don't have much access to either.

I remember my own 'average teenage male' kitchen skills at 16 or 17. Don't try to cook her anything! The potential for disaster is infinite, especially in the family kitchen with your mother around shaking her head as you destroy/cremate everything!!! A long afternoon walk with plenty of honest conversation and then tea at either your place or an inexpensive cafe is the best solution. There's no such thing as a 'perfect date' since by definition it will have no potential for improvement. Regard every time you see her as another gardening session and eventually you'll see the harvest.

Why not cook her a simple meal with all the trimmings on the table .i.e. A pretty table cloth ,flowers.a gift of a romantic d,v,d parceled up with a bow. Then just be the charming guy you seem to be.I suppose the best tip for a date is to be YOURSELF.Best Luck.NORA B.
