writes: I had a really debilitating phobia for awhile and after only barely managing to get it under control with therapy, turned to medication. My medication is great, I feel SO much better now! My outlook on life has completely changed and it's just wonderful.HOWEVER. One of the main side effects of the drug is that it destroys your sex drive. It's not lessened, it's completely gone. I cannot get turned on anymore. I have tried everything, great vibrators, erotica, etc... nothing works. My boyfriend is really down about it. I enjoy the mental closeness of sex still and we still have sex 4 times a week or so, but it doesn't do anything for me. I had one orgasm in 2 months and it took over an hour with a powerful vibrator. My boyfriend is being really supportive about it and said he definitely prefers me to be phobia-free but sexless than the other way around. My phobia was really hampering our relationship and now it's back, almost honeymoon phase good. What can I do about the sex drive? It's getting me really down.

ask your dr for options. might be other meds that allow sex drive. Could be meds that counter the sex drive part.

Get your a*s back to whoever prescribed the medication that you are taking... and bring a copy of this submittal... and say to him or her: "Wuzzup wit dis?!?"
..... and expect that there will be/ may be a little time necessary to find the correct medication to address your problem, WITHOUT incurring this NEW problem... (which, in my "guy" eyes, MUST be much worse than anything else that could POSSIBLY be wrong....)
Good luck....
