writes:I am sure this happens a lot but this is a first for me. So it was my friend's birthday last night and he introduced me these guys. From the beginning one of them was trying to talk to me, Andrew, who apparently is kind of an asshole. I was just being nice and talking to him but I actually always liked this other guy, Chris. Chris is a really shy guy. The whole time they were there he didn't try to talk to any girls. But later that night after Chris had a couple of drinks he started to talk to me. And then I went to dance with my friends, he came and started dancing with me. Anyways, at the end of the night Chris asked me for my phone number and asked if I wanted to hang out sometime. In the meantime, Andrew kept telling me to call Chris. Today, Andrew texted me and said they were going to a game and I should go with them.Then he asked me what I was doing later that night. 1) I gave my number to Chris not Andrew. 2) Why is Andrew inviting me to meet all of them?? So I decided not go because I would be accepting Andrew's invite? I know the type of guy Chris is and he would not pursue a girl his friend is going after. What should I do? Should I just forget about Chris because its weird that Andrew got my number and the only way he can is through Chris. I feel like Chris shouldn't have given my number to Andrew if he was really interested. ( I don't know if he just gave it or Andrew somehow took it.) This really sucks because I rarely feel anything for guys and I thought Chris was so cute. If you have any suggestions it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you:)

He just started a new job, trying to work hard and be a decent employee. He'd love to get together sometime and asked when it was good for me:)) That's good, right?? It's better than him saying yeah sure:) lol

 Crud indeed! Well, I say you just make it very clear to Andrew that you're keen on Chris. Drop in some hints in texts, ask for Chris's number, etc. You'll be killing two birds with one stone, Andrew will get the hint to back off and he'll let Chris know that you're keen on him.

He texted again last night and said Chris and their other roommate went to sleep and asked if I wanted to hang out. Unfortunately, I was asleep already so I couldn't say anything...What do you think? I agree. I think andrew is asking as Chris is shy. You should just blantantly honest and ask him if chris is going? And just see what happens. If you feel a spark you have to go for it, he coulkd just be really shy, hence having to get drunk before having the confidence to talk to you earlier in the night? True love will prevail 3

Could Andrew be inviting you FOR Chris? If he's shy then maybe Andrew is helping Chris out by giving you guys a chance to meet up without it having that awkward "first date" vibe...?
Just a thought. I think you should have gone with them personally.
