reader, anonymous, writes (25 September 2009): you know what? you should go. you risk her maybe trying to get back at you, but no offense, you did bully the poor girl, its the least u could do to take that risk and just go on the date. maybe just tell her you wouldnt mind meeting up to talk about it, and of course, apologise. its good that you know it was wrong. whats the worst that could happen? go for it. she deserves it. good luck :)

No, you could guess that she might be trying to hurt you back or that she actually forgives you and would like to talk about it. Either way it sounds like you treated her badly it is rare that we have a chance to go back and sort things. Even if it was just a talk wouldn't it be great if you could both move on from a bad and sad past?

If not it could be that she wants to humiliate you ? or maybe she wants to stand you up. Either way I think you need to meet her not on a date first and apologise for your behaviour. Its not a question of her forgiving you its a question of you deserving her forgiveness.
