I am a 15 year old female. I seem to have a sweating problem. I've tried every brand and type of deodorant you could possibly think of. The problem with the sweating is not the odor, the problem is the wetness. The deodorants I've tried treat the smell, but not the wetness. I also sweat even when I shouldn't sweat! Example: I have had chill bumps and was sweating like crazy and have deodorant on, so no smell but there still is a wetness!(More info, I was not sick at that time). Also, it is the middle of winter and I still sweat like crazy. This has been going on for many years. I'm afraid of wearing certain clothing items because of it. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Realist agony auntI still have a bit of a sweating problem but I went to the doctor and they prescribed me an anti persperent called drysol. It doesn't smell like anything and it works really well for a decent price. It is a bit itchy for a bit after you put it on but if you're like me not sweating is well worth it.

Talk to your doctor, mention this and see what they say. It's something you can use only when you need it and it's not so drastic.

I developed this issue in my 30's. I tried everything but nothing worked. I am a business professional and would soak thru all of my suits. The dr gives me Botox and my insurance does cover it. It last about 6 months to a year and I do not sweat at all under the arms anymore. Hope this helps.

tennisstar88 agony auntI had the same problem at your age, even continued into my teens to 20s. Gross, I know. You don't even do anything and you have pit stains! Like you I had tried every deodorant on Wal-Mart had to offer. What you need to actually look for is a deodorant that has an anti-perspirant, that helps with the pit stains.

I found that Certain Dri works the best for me. There's a roll-on or stick that controls the excessive under arm wetness for after the shower. Then you also purchase the deodorant stick you use in the A.M. You can both of these at Walgreen's for about $6 each, sometimes they run sales on the product too.

Now, if that doesn't work. Then you're going to have to ask your mother to take you to the dermatologist so he/she can prescribe a prescription deodorant for you, which will be more expensive but will no doubt do the job too.

I would go to your doctor and see what they say first.

1) Firstly try and keep your body properly hydrated by drinking sufficient amount of water at frequent intervals throughout the day. This will help in the natural cooling of the body. Water also helps to throw out toxins that may otherwise accompany the sweat and produce bad odor.

2) Regular shower twice a day will help in keeping you clean and also get rid of germs and bacteria that produce the bad odor. You can use a mild antibacterial soap to get best results.

3)You can try treatments such as rx anti-perspirants( some ingredients have been linked to breast cancer in all anti-perspirants: those containing aluminum), anti-cholinergic oral medications, Iontophoresis(this sounds interesting), botox and even surgery.

If you're overweight, losing weight and exercise may help also.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
