A female age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I wonder ,if anybody ever had any very strange supernatural experinces?

I had one, and it is weird to have someting like that, and not be able to know if it happened to someone else too.

I had a strange 'visit'' in my sleep , when I woke up with a horrible scream...I 'm sure it was diferent than a nightmare. It was a presence.. I felt the wind around me, and I saw the ''thing clearly..''. It was in my room, not in somwhere else. I think , he wanted to take me... I was not on drugs, and no I'm pretty normal person, with realistic ideas.. But this thing freaked me to death...

I know IT SOUNDS CRAZY..please don't think I lost my mind.

It was just an experince, and I wonder if any opinion on this...

SirenaBlusera agony auntWonder, this is really interesting. Thanks for sharing that.

When I was a child I had an experience which was very similar to what the poster is describing.

Could this phenomenon explain my experience as well?

A reader, anonymous, writes (26 May 2009):

i have actually had things kinda like this appear and i thought i was asleep but then its like i'm awake. i do have dreams where things happen that are bad and when i do have these type of dreams i always look cautiously because i can for sure no that something will happen. i have a dream one night that my aunt had a car accident with a big truck and i didn't think anything of it until the next day as i was standing at my kitchen window a lady pulled out in front of a frozen foods truck and he t boned her in the side just like my dream. and also my mother is dead and i saw her standing in my back yard talking to me one night. she was beautiful. she was up under a light and had on a flowing white dress. she was all lite up and bright. and she kept saying its time. soon after that my grandfather her dad had a stroke and died three days later so i think its very possible you saw something. and to the person who was ugly about relationship questions only, i have seen questions on here that didn't apply to any thing about sex relationships or dating. if it were not a logical question it would not have been posted by dear cupid. good luck

SirenaBlusera agony auntThis isn't a relationship question, but I think this person is troubled and needs someone to talk to.

I have had something similar happen to me, now that I think of it, but I was a child then. When we're children, there's a very fine line between imagination, and reality.

How do you know you didn't dream it? Some dreams are very vivid.

SirenaBlusera agony auntI digressed into my experience, but I think that this experience deeply troubles you, and you feel alone because you don't understand it.

I think that you are searching for peace about this... you are welcome to talk to us on this site, but I think that you would get a lot of peace from talking to a priest or clergyman about it.

I'm just curious: Can you describe this thing? Is it too frightening to talk about? No pressure, I respect your feelings. However, if you want to share, go for it.

A female reader, SirenaBlusera Mexico +, writes (26 May 2009):

SirenaBlusera agony auntI'm afraid to mess with this stuff, because I don't understand it.

Sometimes I have felt like I had a past life. I was born and raised in the USA but I have always had this uncanny familiarity with latin culture. When I was learning Spanish, the other kids were struggling with it, but it seemed to come VERY naturally to me. Sometimes I felt like a forgotten language from long ago was coming back to me. I eventually went to live in Latin America, and instead of going through culture shock, I felt a sense of familiarity. I'm going to Spain later this year, and this sounds irrational, considering I've never been... but I feel like I'm already in love with it. As a kid, I always longed to go there. It could be that I'm wrong, and I'll be disappointed, but I DOUBT it. I know in my heart I'll fall in love with it... but I can't explain why.

This sounds really creepy but I've caught myself saying things like, "I can't wait to go back to Spain," and I'll catch myself... "BACK? Wait a minute! I've never been!... have I?"

I don't believe in past lives; I believe you die, and hopefully go to Heaven... unless you're bad and then Hell, I imagine, is like a Wal-Mart checkout on a Saturday afternoon.

My mom said that the reason I have nostalgia for a country I've never set foot in is because I had relatives from there. Perhaps, all humans have archetypes coded in our brains. It may SEEM like past lives exist, but I'm not so sure.

Things in this world are not always what they seem. Faith is a virtue, and there are many things we don't understand. There may be another explanation for my experiences.

A female reader, Wonder79 United States +, writes (26 May 2009):

I think before you investigate paranormal causes of your experiences, you should read up on a natural phenomenon that has been haunting and frightening people for as long as people have been around.

Today it's called sleep paralysis but in the past it has been known by many names, such as the "Old Hag" attack.

It's a horrible sort of disruption to natural sleep. It can feel like someone is in your room or actually sitting on top of you. Also, you cannot move because your body is still in a stage of REM sleep that causes natural paralysis.

I have experienced this many times and it is very, very terrifying while I am experiencing it. But, since I learned about sleep paralysis, I have been able to quickly calm myself and realize my experience was not supernatural, but this strange type of disrupted sleep.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis

Here is a wiki link to explain the basics of this phenomenon.

I would urge you to read the article and look up more information on sleep paralysis, especially if you continue to experience this disturbance during sleep.

I hope this is helpful and wish you the best.

I've had several situations happen to me. I do not talk about it in public, nor will I reveal my site name.

I've had dreams that have warned me of serious danger "coworker trying to stab me with a knife"; I've had Jesus lecture me along with 4 others guys I didn't recognize, and this was during the day, overcast. I get shades of color: red of course is danger, yellow is a warning and green and blue mean good things, but haven't nailed them down to meaning.

I just recently had a dream where I walked into a room and made a comment I won the lottery. In the dream, I wasn't screaming or dancing I hit the big one, but the next morning when I woke up and checked my ticket, I won $3. lol. Better then nothing.

I also experienced an auto accident before it happened. The dream reappeared 3 times before it happened. I've notice the more serious stuff happens after 3 reaccuring dreams, all 3 identical to each other, like a replay of a movie.

At one point I was so fearful, I began to drink, and then learned to drink just enough to make the dreams go away. I've gotten over it.

I love stuff like this so i'm keen to find out more. Ive always believed that there are things with us that we'll never truley understand till we're dead ourselves. Don't be scared i'm not a freak i promise. I've had a few experiences myseslf so i believe you. As far as i underatand these visits want some kind of help. Maybe the presence in your room used to live there or maybe they are there to help you or ask for help. Next time you see it be brave and ask questions. Spirits can't hurt you. It's polterguists you have to be carefull of.

Well everyone has an opinion on this. I sit on the fence. Things like this have happened to me, and I have been inclined to think of them as something "supernatural", but, you know, the brain is a funny thing and does some pretty crazy stuff sometimes, too. With something like this, it's really up to you to decide where you stand on the matter. You will find lots of people on both sides!
