I don't think you need to worry. Closing your eyes is a good thing. He must really be enjoying it, so feel good about it, kay? I don't see why you don't. Once again:creepy kisser. No one likes to be stared at while kissing.

I don't think this is a problem. He's really into the moment and closing his eyes is just his way of expressing that deep connection while kissing.

Im interested to know how you came to think it was the other way round. Its total preferance though but don't go thinking its odd to have them closed, think the general view from people on here is eyes shut is the way to go...there must be reasoning behind everyone doing it the same way.

i never open my eyes either. okay. to peek once in a while but most of the times it's closed because i'm wrap up in enjoying the moment. i think it's because if you close you eyes... then your only sense that would be working is your sense of touch. So therefore, you get more out of the kiss.
But if you open your eyes..you have to use sight and touch. Which takes away from the kiss. That's my guess.

A

A

eyes closed when kissing is normal. having them open would make me go cross eyed and it;s not very sexy going cross eyed and noticing every little dimple on his face. most people close their eyes when having a full on kiss. if it;s just a little peck or something small then normall keep them open. but if u watch a movie or whatever and see a couple having a passionate kiss then u will see they have their eyes closed. it's normal

A
reader, anonymous, writes (17 October 2008): Sorry babes, I'm with everyone else. My eyes close whilst I'm kissing. I can't help it. I'm in such a daze with the passion. If I kept my eyes open, I wouldn't be passionate, I would be examining him, like a scientist, rather than being caught up in the experience. So it's eyes closed all the way. Sorry.....

I thought it was common to kiss with your eyes shut? And "odd" to kiss with your eyes open??
Have you ever been to an eye doctor and had they tell you to keep your eyes open and look straight at them while they have a magnify glass right up to your eye and they are like 1cm away from your face? Its incredibly weird. Having your eyes open when you are that close to somoene is weird and uncomfortable for me. I think its the same with kissing.

Actually I think that you may be the odd one here. Lets see if we get a concensus, as I am the first one to answer, but I do believe that the vast majority of people close their eyes when they kiss! I think it would be rather unconfortable to be kissing with my eyes open!
...............................
A
reader, anonymous, writes (17 October 2008): Actually, I NEVER open my eyes while kissing.. it's just sort of strange to do. I didn't know that other people open their eyes? I think you're worrying needlessly dear. Everyone has their own way of doing things. What is natural to one, is strange to another. Just enjoy the kiss!
