Not even that I've had a yeast infection.it's been like this ever since I lost my virginity and I HATE IT.Anyone else have an idea, since apparently nothing's wrong?

Wash in there with warm water and salt until it normalises. It worked for me. I had a pH imbalance and it corrected it.

It's really puzzling. I would definately keep pestering your doctor because you can't live like that. Drive her/him mad until something is done.
Good luck let us know how you get on.

Sorry Posters but everyone is saying that thrush is an STD. Thrush is NOT an STD it is a yeast infection caused by changes in your friendly bacteria. (Check out this site http://www.std.co.uk/thrush.html for info on it) The only thing that can change your bacteria is antibiotics and other medications. It is often mistaken as an STD because sex can often cause it to flare up by irriating the vaginal walls and allowing more fungi to grow than usual.
I would suggest asking for a second opinion. Itchiness and cottage cheese discharge is not normal. Keep pressing until someone listens.

Yup sounds like an std, you should make an appt w / your gynecologist and mention all the symptoms and discomfort you are having, if not go to another doctor.

It definitely is a thrush. Which is a Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD). Go to your doctor, don't be shy and tell him exactly what you just told us here.

I wonder why the doctor thinks there's no thrush cause it sure sounds like thrush to me. In New Zealand we are able to buy thrush medication over the counter without a prescription. If you can do this too then I would go get a good thrush medication. One that you can swallow a pill plus use a suppositry to sooth the itch is best. Caniston 3 day is the best one I think. If you can't get one with a suppositry buy some greek acidopholus yoghurt and thickly smear that on a pad and wear that. Sounds gross but boy does it sooth that horrible burning and itching. There's no harm in taking the thrush medication even if it isn't thrush so I would give it a try. You should feel relief in one day if this is the problem. Failing that I would go to a gynacologist and have a checkup because there's definately something going on and living with that kind of irritation is just plain miserable.
