hey everyone, this is my second article for dear cupid site..thx for the over whelming response over the first.

In this article i am going to talk about PORN ADDICTION

i have come across a lot of people on this site seeking help for themselves or their husbands, wives and even kids..well this is something for everyone one to read not only porn addicts..

truth about porn

its a harmless fantasy but it destroys people from the inside out including the performers the producers and the consumers.

66%of porn performers have genital herpes

27%of porn performers are chlamydia or gonorrhea carriers

155of porn performers have Hiv

90%of porn performers use drugs

the largest group of viewers of internet porn is children between 12-17

40 million Americans regularly view internet pornography

the average age of exposure to porn is 11

50%of men who regularly attend church view PORN

57%of pastors say that addiction to pornography is the most sexually damaging issue t their congregation

yearly revenues of the sex and porn industry in the US is bigger than the NFL,NBA MAJOR LEAGUE baseball combined.

people pay for pornography more in AMERICA in a year than they do on a movie or performing arts ticket

porn addiction is REAL

experts now say its effects on the brain are similar to that of heroine or cocaine.

porn is a LIE

don't beleive the lie

the truth is porn is not reality

there is got to be something more satisfying than the temporary high of porn

thats all i have to say.the rest i leave it in your hands

i hope all the porn addicts wake up and get well soon

its never too late.there is always a start as rightly said better late than never

A male reader, rolfen Lebanon +, writes (22 September 2010):

rolfen agony auntI read a study saying that porn usage is widespread amongst the majority of males, and apparently the majority of females too. There or some revolting stories said here about porn actors being abused, but I believe that a lot of porn in made by consenting adults who are not under the influence of drugs, and who actually like or at least don't mind doing that for money. I never bought the argument about watching porn leading to violence and degradation towards women, but I do believe that porn, along violence and all that can all be symptoms of the a same problem.

I used to do porn regularly, and my girlfriend would get upset about it, although she kinda let it go a bit. It is very humiliating for me to be questioned about my porn habits by her.

But for some reason I have stopped watching it now.

I never really wanted to be a porn consumer, so I am OK with having stopped. After all it's just movies and you hardly know what is fake or not. Still one can learn a lot of stuff from them.

A female reader, texas_gal United States +, writes (3 February 2010):

As they say, better late than never. Another good saying is IF YOU'RE NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM! Pornography is NOT a victimless crime. It promotes domestic violence, degradation of women, child abuse, dissolution of marriages & breakdown of the basic societal unit, the family. Women (and children) are often forced into it. Women who say they do it by choice are deluding themselves that they have some power and that the money (if they get any) makes it worthwhile. Society must speak out to say what is or is not tolerable. Pornography should not be tolerated in any form, at any level.

To the guy who asked who is your dog in this fight: The entire future of our society, the well-being of our children, the mental health of our young, the dignity of our women and the integrity of our men is all at stake here.

my friend got into porn and her life was miserable.it was her personal choice since she was kicked out of the house and had no money.she has not left the sex industry completely and she told me all about it..it was ridiculous.let me share with you one such incident among the many of what she told.. inorder to perform a sex act she used to take drugs and get high cause it was very hard to do it in normal state of mind.and this was provided to her on the porn sets by the unit members it and everyone used to take it especially the performers.the guy she had to do the act with was very harsh on her and just forced himself inside her throwing her around, she cried but yet the camera did not stop rolling and finally she started screaming asking the director to cut and begging the male partner to stop but still he did not until the act was over.she asked the director not to circulate this but he still did with her screaming out in pain.

A reader, anonymous, writes (5 May 2009):

It is prostitution. The definition of prostitution is someone having sex for money. In porn, they are simply filming an act of prostitution and selling it. Funny how you never hear the porn stars refer to themselves as prostitutes.

If someone likes porn and spends only a limited amount of time looking at and never pays for it or encourages anyone to pay for it or participate in it, I don't see where the harm is.
