writes: I have this sharp small pain in my left ovary similar to what I used to get at the beginning of my last pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage last June.. is this one of the early signs of pregnancy? Both posters are right, if its ectopic it could potentially kill you. Although I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant and I had the same feeling before I found out. I wouldn't say its a completely 100% sign of pregnancy though. Just get it checked out, better safe thatn sorry. I hope that helped. Good luck and happy new year.

reader, anonymous, writes (1 January 2010): It could be a cyst. Do you also urine quite frequently? If so, this could be a sign of a cyst growing in your ovary. It's nothing to worry about though as Doctors can remove them pretty easily. Make sure you get it checked out.

reader, anonymous, writes (31 December 2009): like caringguy said - it could be a ectopic pregnancy therefore it is best to get checked out asap, even if its not then atleast it will put your mind at ease and you'll be able to quiz the doctor regarding what it could be. You may be pregnant, you may not be but getting it checked is the best thing. Uterus stretching for me felt like period cramps but less tender and less intense. I hope everything works out for you

Well it might be. I know a woman who had the same kind of pain as you, and it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy. I think you should see a doctor, because it could be dangerous, or it could be something else.
