 I don't think you should go to the movies to make out. Especially since your dad is going to be there. I know if I had a daughter and I was going to be in the movie theater with her and her boyfriend, I would not want to see them make out. That is very disrespectful. Especially if you want your boyfriend to be on your Dad's good side. Making out with his daughter is a very good way for your Dad not to like him.
Plus, why would you want to waste $10/per person to make out, when you could make out anywhere else basically free and privately. You guys can cuddle, he can put his arm around you, you can put your head in his chest if you see a scary part since you're watching a horror movie, but you really shouldn't make out with him if your Dad is gonna be there.

 It's really up to you whether you want to or not. For making out you should really go somewhere private, although a cinema is great usually since it's dark, would you really be that comfertable knowing that your dad is there?
I don't get why people plan to make out, it should happen naturally, why don't you go up to one of your rooms to do that?
