Should I worry about my kinky fantasies that I give in to once a month?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

This is something that's embarrassing the heck out of me,and I cannot share it with anyone. Its bizarre.

The thing is,every time of the month I get super-horny during my ovulation period (women would know what I'm talking about), I get very kinky fantasies of a specific kind. They always involve very powerful people, e.g., historical figures or real-life powerful people (corporate heads or politicians). I always imagine them engaging in some kind of kinky sexual power-play. For e.g.,The President of a country kidnapping the daughter of the President of an enemy nation and forcing her to become his ex slave.

Or a powerful female head of a company/country being humiliated and made to behave in a typical "damsel in distress" fashion by a male adversary.

I don't like to have these thoughts, but they somehow force their way into my mind during the aforementioned specific time of the month, and I enjoy them, but its more of a guilty pleasure. Immediately after I masturbate to such a thought, I feel extremely embarrassed and guilty.

Is there something wrong with me?I can't share this with anyone.

Ciar agony auntThere is nothing wrong with you. In fact this is a fairly common and benign fantasy.

Your mind is simply exploring a 'what if' scenario.

If you think this one is weird, your hair would stand on end to know what other ones are out there, some of which folks DO act out.

CindyCares agony auntThat's why they are fantasies and not " facts " or

" events " - because they are weird :). Otherwise , if everything that turns people on was normal, feasible, simple, realistic and easily attainable.... well, then people would just go out and DO it, rather thank thinking about it.

People get turned on by the strangest , weirdest things, because these fantasies do not come from your rational mind, but from your subconscious ,so they do not HAVE to be logical, mainstream or moral. In fact, as fantasies go,yours aren't that outrageous, I have heard of much creepier, disquieting stiff.

You do not have to act out your fantasies ( in your case, it would be particularly difficult, too ) and you do not have to share them with anybody if you do not wish to do it. They are your little secret - but just a " normal " secret, not a dirty, nasty, shameful one.

@Sageoldguy : you old rascal you !,lol, watch what you write, we have a lot of British Dearcupiders here :).

And - what's wrong with Queen Elizabeth as a sex symbol anyway :) ? Well, now she is a 90something greatgrandmother, of course, - but she WAS an attractive woman for a long time ! Just look at the pics of her as a young Queen in ball gowns and stuff, she is sporting a pair of jugs that many of her loyal subjects must have envied her !

Honeypie agony auntI think having crazy fantasies is ABSOLUTELY "normal" and you really have nothing to worry about. I actually think your are on the less kinky side honestly.. :) And yes, ovulation time especially bring out the oddest fantasies.

Some people are able to use their imagination (like you) some are not. Speaking from experience... I think the ones with a good imagination (fantasy over watching porn for instance) makes for a better lover.

YOU don't HAVE to share these fantasies with anyone, nor do you EVER have to somehow live them out. You could journal them for sh!ts and grins, but PLEASE don't feel shame. It's a fantasy. It's not some seedy hobby (like the dude taking up-skirt pictures or hidden cameras in public toilets... lol

IT's OK, honey. Don't feel weird about it.

Dear OP,

We live in the century where "Fifty Shades of Grey" is a blockbuster and bestselling novel. Where every sex shop sells bondage starter kits on Valentines Day.

Ever watched a Lady Gaga video clip? Or an old Madonna video?

You are NOT the only one with fantasies of that kind. Our culture is full of stories involving power play and kink. It's entered mainstream years ago.

I am saying this only to give you some relief, you're not as weird as you think you are. You just have a good imagination, which gets you through those horny days. I also have a vivid imagination, it's better than porn :).
