writes:I have searched the web trying to find an answer to my question. 7 days ago I was almost at the end of my period. Went to work as usual, but when I came home there was no string??!! I tried to find it, then I was questioning if I used one or not. So now 7 days on I have a dull pain in my pelvis area. Feels almost like a wind trap, but I've had it for 3 days or more.It's Saturday, I'm wondering if it could wait until Monday and make appointment to see the nurse at my local doctors. Or should I go to the hospital before Monday? I'm worried, should I wait or go?

Make an appoinment now, leaving a a tampon inside you can lead to many medical problems which can even be fatal.
You may have nothing left inside you but its best to not take risks if your worried.

 Hi, Just to add my voice to all the others, as a woman, very important to get to the hospital emergency room for an x-ray or whatever they will do to determine, if you do have the tampon inside. As everyone else has said, go now! Take care. Good luck.

If you have a tampon inside,it can cause infection and the sooner it is removed the better. You might also need antibiotics.
Never take chances with your health.
