I asked her out for a drink to which she responded "yeah, sure if you go to mahiki next week you'll see me there". I'm unsure what to do, should I attempt to fix something up or bide my time a bit longer, go to mahiki next week (where I already will be with friends), see her there and arrange something after that? Thanks, any advice appreciated :) Reply to this Question Share |

It's kind of what I thought when I received her response, a nicely-worded fob off! I won't try and push anything too quickly now, I'll be at mahiki next week so I'll see her there and if nothing comes of that - well, worst things can happen in life Good advice :)

Well, since you are going to mahiki anyway, you can try- nothing ventured, nothing gained.
But, let me tell you, it does not sound too promising, her sounds the typical polite, diplomatic brush off. She must have got what you meant - that you wanted to go out for a drink you and her ALONE. If she had been interested, she'd have said yes right away . Or at least something along the lines of : I am really busy this week, but here's my phone no., call me and we'll make plans.
