Should I take my ex back?

sooo... i split up with my ex boyfriend at october time 09, we split up because he wouldnt meet me, we never saw eye to eye (literally) and i had enough of getting strung along so i ended it, i deseverd better since i put myself out there, made myself vulnerable, plus the 7 year age difference and he made up excusses, they wernt even good ones, he was ill on the first week, family member in hospital, and the last week it was work so i said to him what ever and ignored him until now when he sent me a text saying that he wants me back and he never ment to hurt me a genuinly wasnt his fault we didnt go out anymore soooo what should i do? when i saw the text all the feelings came rushing back and i remember the good times.

He did not take care of your feeling when you were together, why get back together to opewn yourself up to some more neglect.

It doesn't take rocket science to make a call or text to see how someone else is doing. The excuses are lame.
