The sister and I were really good friends before and she was in a shitty relationship and ended up leaving that guy and one thing led to another and we got together . It was going well but one day her shitty ex got a high paying job and just like that she dumped me. I was really hurt but I'm over that now or as much as one can get over a serious relationship . My problem is I see her all the time because she is my friends sister. And there's always that part of my brain that gets depressed since she is my ex but also was one my closest friends. Think there's a chance we can be friends or do I have to stop hanging with her brother because she broke my heart ?

Go out and date some other girls, she is not worth losing a friend over.

You don't need to stop hanging with your friend. If he understands your case, that is. As far as the sister is concerned, I know you haven't said anything about it, but I don't think you should bother being friends with her.
I can understand how you feel when you see her, even more the reason you shouldn't be friends with her.
But I will suggest you don't break your friendship with the guy. It's not his fault that his sister screwed up. What you could do is not hang around his place. Meet up outside or something. If your friends understands you, he will be more than okay to help you through.
