Jokingly, i said "Know any hot guys?" he jokingly showed me some of his facebook friends. One was totally gorgeous! Just my type! i happily scrolled through 100 photos! :) Anyway, i asked about this guy and my friend said he knew him from sunday league and that was the extent of his relationship to him. He didn't know if he was single or even straight! He says he's a bit shy, and doesn't speak much, so he can hardly call him after six months of no contact, randomly going "hey- how are you? single?" I said "go on!" he said it would be bizarre and he'd come across as weird! I considered adding him on facebook, but it sounds crazy. I don't know what i'd say other than "oh, i think you're gorgeous!" How embarrassing! I'm not shy, per se, but i am self conscious, and HATE approaching guys (which is why i'm still single!) my friend doesn't know how much i fancy this guy ( i think he thinks i'm joking and if he knew hed think i was mental!) i thought it was stupid too, especially with the distance. But i told myself id get out of my comfort zone and try and make moves towards guys!Is adding a friend of a friend on facebook weird? How would you react? Has anybody done it? x

I think you've got a bit starry eyed over this guy. No one knows anything about him, not enough for you to make any safe approach. And to top it off, he might find it unnerving if you suddenly make contact. I would leave this one well alone.
