A female reader, noonespecial2 Australia +, writes (8 August 2009):

Hi there,

Are you meaning marriage proposal?

How long have you known him?

I can't give a complete answer until I know this.

You mentioned you had a frienship with him. I think your best to aim toward making your feelings known to him.

You said you think he likes another girl. How do you know this?

He may think you're not into him in a romantic way and is looking elsewhere for romance. Best to let him know your feelings about wanting to start a relationship with him.

You'll have to consider that the frienship will be at risk if you do let him know your feelings. There is the possibility the friendship could continue, it depends on whether he and you can continue as friends while you think of him this way.

To give a better answer, I'll need to know some more.

Good luck.
