writes: Hey, all. I have a small dilemma and I can use any advice that you might have for me. Prom is getting closer and the thing is, I decided taht I wasn't going to go because it isn't something that I'm really into. However, there is this guy that I like and he keeps telling me that I should go to prom. Now, I've heard that a girl might take him to prom and they'll hang out afterwards obviously, which is getting me very jealous. I don't know. I guess my problem is that I don't want to go to prom, but I also don't want my crush to go with anyone else since it seems that if I did decide to go, he might ask me. I'm just wondering if I should just take the chance and see if ends up going with someone else or should I just suck it up and decide to go just because of him? I don't know. I'm very confused and frustrated right now.

 I have a third alternative for you, but it would take a little bit of courage on your behalf. Tell the guy that you've decided to go and ask him if he will take you to the prom.
That way you would have a fun evening with your crush, and if he says no, well, then you won't have to see him after the summer anyway (prom is in the final year of high school, right?).
