I have been o nthe pill around 5 years and have just had twins so it cant be that effective. Look at all your options before going on the pill

Hi
I have used both and to be honest i cant use either anymore.
The pill i wont use because im over 35, and the implant i tried for nearly a year and had such horrendous mood swings and regular spotting that i had to get it taken out in the end.
But you can google both and get lots of opinions on them.
Good luck.

hi personally i believe it is your choice, however the doctor will go throught the choices with you, you are better seeing a family planning clinic. That is where i went, as the doctors i used 2 see didnt tell me the full facts and i ended up with severe side effects for the pill. i now have the implant, and i have had it for 2 years in november. this is a great and effective way to control pregnancy. I wish you luck, mail me if you would like to talk x

I guess really it depends on how good you will be at remembering to take the pill, if you are forgetfull like me then it may be worth having the implant, purely because you dont have to remember. The only downside to this is if you decide to have a baby or it doesnt agree with you its effect take longer to wear off. I think you should ask the advise of your GP, im sure they would prefer you to try the pill first.
