I bought him a few gifts but I hesitate to go and spend time with time and give him his gifts when his girlfriend hasn't. (She went away on a roadtrip). He is like a brother to me. However, I don't know how his girl will react because she thinks there's something wrong with me for choosing to be single (go figure) and focusing on my little sister and she joked once that I must have a hidden lust for him. Oh boy. Completely not so. He always says I'm his sister, to complete strangers too :p So, I don't know if she's going to think I'm trying to make her look bad. Aqim's parents were not happy that she left while he underwent surgery. She has accused me before of "showing off" for Aqim because I showed him a short story I won a prize for. I'm stumped. Should I go ahead and see my friend regardless? Or would I make trouble? I don't want her to stress him about this, he's very sensitive and physically weak.

Just go... he just got out of hospital and if that isn't a good enough reason to go see a good friend and make sure they're ok, then what is??
