Should I fix my gap even it he doesn't want me to?

Question - (20 August 2010) 5 Answers - (Newest, 20 August 2010)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have a big gap in my front teeth and everyone always tells me it's cute and such, but I've always wanted it fixed. I finally got the courage and made an appointment, but my boyfriend said he likes my gap. He said he thinks I'm the most beautiful woman in the world, and he loves everything about my face and body and that if I change something, he's worried he won't think I'm as beautiful. Now I'm terrified to do it, but I really want to! I just don't want him to not think I'm as beautiful. Should I still do it?

Your teeth, your choice. If this is something that you really want then that means it will make you happier and more confident, this happiness and confidence will make you more beautiful than any physical change.

Don't worry about him, he's probably just worried he won't get to kiss you for a while as it heals.

If it's what you want and you're doing it for you, then go for it. He'll be fine with it.

I think people see it as something that is uniquely you though, something they find cute, they'll get used to it being gone.
