A female United States age 36-40, *alyov writes:

So my boyfriend and I broke up on the 28th after a really happy day together full of cuddling, laughing, and watching tv...but that night he said "lets just be friends"

I was so confused and upset...he says he still likes me...and I really like him.

Well we havnt really talked since then except for yesterday for like a min.

on New Years Eve I tried telling him "Happy New Years!" online but he logged off without saying anything...so I called his house his dad told me he was at a friends...

I called his cell and his friend picked up saying he wasnt there and to try back later...I tried back 3hrs later....his friend picked up saying he was asleep...

so at midnight I added him in my "Happy New Years!" texts to my friends....well when I signed onto yahoo yesterday...I got...

Him: hey happy new year

Me: hey

Me: happy new year

Me: have a good new years eve?

Him: i wasnt up for most of it lol

Him: i started falling asleep at like idk 10ish lol

Me: I heard . I stayed up till the sunrise...I beat my brither and his friend, and their the ones who wanted to stay up XD

Him: cool

Me: it was a horrid night =/ I kept getting sick and I tripped hurting myself. I bet people thought I was drunk...all I had was pespi lol

and then he stopped talking and signed off 5min later

well now I just got a email from Half.com

and I forgot I let him put his textbooks on my account and his book was just sold....

my friend says to call his friend because 'he needs time'

but I thought 'maybe its a sign'

what should I do?

He needs to know about it because he has the book and it needs to be shipped out...

And friends you are. The prospects of romance have ended on the 28th. Time to move on. Enjoy his company every now and then. If you are still in love with him, well with what you wrote romance have ended and friendship started.

You'll go over it, move on girl.

OSCARS MUMMY agony auntcant you just call his home and leave a message with his dad about the book, that way he is sure to get it - then leave it at that. It seems he definately wants space and to be with his friends, dont chase him anymore - if he ends up moving out of your life well so be it thats obviously the way its meant to be. Let him get in touch with you if he doesnt then i'm sorry but we cant always have everything or everyone we want - life is crap like that. I know its hard especially after the times you have spent together but from what you have said about him he does not appear interested
