Should I be worried about the condom breaking?

My girlfriend is on the pill. She was prescribed it for acne reasons around 6 months ago but kept at it now that we're active. I use a condom every time as well, but I feel like kind of whimp for doing so. A spermicide lubricated condom broke the other day and I almost freaked out, but she assured me that it was fine.

Is a BC pill prescribed for acne weaker than one prescribed for actual birth control?

Is wearing a condom even necessary for me?

Should I be worried about the condom breaking? (Shes due for her period in about a week)

Please do not lecture ,me about perfect vs actual use I know about all that. She takes it every morning between 7-10 o clock, before school or before whatever shes doing on the weekends, before she puts on makeup. I trust her with that I guess I don't see why'd she'd lie. We've been doing it with this method for 2 months without issue.

Hanox agony auntThe pill can be inifected if used wrong, but it seems like she has got it undercontroll.

If you feel like it is a turn off for wearing a comdon then don't, but if your scared to finish inside her, finish on her? until you are more comftable with the idea.

Don't worry if it happens, there is a slight risk or an accident happening but i doubt that very much.

Just enjoy sex and don't let it panic you if the comdom does brake, but do not use vasiline as it can rip the comdon.

HAVE FUN! :-DDD.

stop worrying! as long as she takes it as prescribed the pill has a VERY LOW failure rate. the combined pill(oestrogen and progesterone) is more successful than the 'mini pill'or POP (progesterone only pill)

ask her to let you read the leaflet in her pill packet so you can be reassured and help her remember the times when you will need additional birth control methods (eg if she has any stomach upsets)

If she is on birth control, although there is always a risk, you should be pretty safe.

Nope, the pill is the pill. 99% effective against pregnancy.

Is wearing a condom even necessary for me?

It's a good habit to be in. The pill doesn't protect against STD's so if that's a concern, definitely keep wearing it. You're pretty safe against pregnancy without a condom though, but nothing is 100% other than abstinance.

Should I be worried about the condom breaking?

I wouldn't freak out.

1. BC pill is not always effective.

2. YES, if you want to protect yourself against STDs.
