 Why not? If you like him and enjoy his company there's nothing wrong in giving him a call to see if you can meet up.
If you never contact him he may start to get the impression that your not that interested. Keep in contact, but keep it resonable, in other words, txt him, but if he doesn't answer leave it for a day or two before texting him again. Go for it, what have you got to lose?
