I work in the city so I often go shopping during the day and stuff, so I was just wondering if a guy would ever go up to a girl and ask her out in that situation?

Definitely anywhere. If you see a guy who looks interested make sure to give him a friendly smile to let him know that you won't be creeped out if he does come to talk to you.

Uh, yea... and in a car, school, church... probably not while you're in a toilet stall... but most anywhere else...

It has happened to me before, so I know its possible. Conversely, I have met guys out and about and after a conversation, given them my number if I was interested in them. That way, they can call if they want. You never know! If you briefly meet someone, there is nothing wrong with trying to connect when you want to know more. Good luck to you!

A guy can ask a girl out anywhere if the circumstances are right. I suppose in a club he'd probably be feeling a bit more confident. But there is no set place where a guy would ask a girl out.
