I never really paid much attention to her, but recently we started talking more on facebook and I realised that we have an unbelievable amount in common. It's almost unreal. She said the other day that she trusts me more than anyone in the world.Last night I went over her place, we got a little bit drunk and we spent the night having another really deep conversation and laying in bed next to each other, in a lull, I whispered in her ear "Would you freak out if I kissed you"? She looked into my eyes and whispered back "No". It wasn't just a peck. It was really passionate.Nothing else happened, but I feel so incredibly guilty that I have betrayed my best friend, but there's also this little part of me which doesn't care.I think I'm falling in love with her.I'm so confused.Neither of us regret it at all, but she says she doesn't want it to get complicated.I need some advice...

And from the Y chromosomes, totally what srhmr said. You're friend is "infatuated" while you've been developing a connection. Talk to your friend, and say you're sorry, and ask him if he's ok with you pursuing this. If not, then say sorry again, but you were doing it from courtesy, and are going to go wherever this leads. It may be too late though, did you see that Scrubs episode about the 48-hours after the kiss? I hope during all this dearcupid business, you've been keeping in contact with "girl". Otherwise she'll be texting her friends "I don't know what happened, he just didn't do anything else for three days. Oh well, his friend is cute."

does she know your best friend likes her so much? and whether she does or not, she must not like him back enough since she kissed you and is spending so much time with you.
i've been in these kind of situations before, and always feel guilty. but you know what the best solution is? talk to your best friend about it. tell him that you have a thing for her or even tell him that she might have a thing for you. chances are he'll probably be turned off from her if he knows she likes you or knows you guys hooked up.
you only live once, so if you think this girl is the right thing for you at the moment, THEN GO FOR IT.
good luck and have fun!
