writes:I have a girlfriend who I love very much, but before I met her she slept with a colleague of mine. I cant help thinking about it and everytime I go for a drink with friends I end up finishing with her for this one reason. I also get very angry and say things that I dont actually mean. Am I a jealous lunatic or am I right to feel this way about something that seems to be consuming my life at the moment?

 I agree. If you can't deal with her whole past, you can't deal with being with her. Period. If that's going to be the case, you might as well quit dating, because everyone's got some sort of past, regardless of whether or not you like it.
