writes:i met this girl a workshop at college months ago and i thought she was really pretty but i chickened out and we didn't speak afterwardsIsaw her vaguely around college but she was always with friendsand far away so nothing happened. however a couple of months ago she followed me on tumblr without me realising and we started talking but she didn't reply to one of my really long messages carrying on our conversation. However now we have seen each other around when we've both been with friends and i find it really awkward as i just talk to one of my friends and pretend i haven't noticed her but i know she had been looking at me. I feel really embarressed by it all as i don't know what to do/say because she hadn't replied. do I message her and if i do what do i say? ps she has a boyfriend but i'm not looking for a relationship with her i'd just like to be friends with her and start talking again.

 Were you possibly giving her vibes that you wanted to start a relationship with her? Possibly, that could have put her off. Be careful of the language you use when speaking to her. Also, have you considered that she may not have even seen the message? Tumblr has a bad messaging service and I've had trouble with it before when people haven't received my messages or I haven't gotten messages back. Just start another casual conversation up asking how she is! You're not making a fool out of yourself by asking if she's okay or how her time in college is going. You've got to get a bit of confidence, be brave, and just send that message(it's only a little 'hello'!) Hope everything works out and that you become friends again.xx

Btw, NEVER EVER send long messages. If you can't say it verbally then don't say it.
