writes: Hi guys, am in a predicament right now.I and my girlfriend met last November, we been dating since then.Although we broke up in September this year fot three weeks,when we got back together, we got carried away, now her period is late and shes very anxious and is crying, grumpy and keeping away from me.Shes working, i am a final year year post grad student and am sure i ll find a proper job in a few months, but shes very worried about our financial situation, the fact we ve not been together for long and the fact that we not married.Am still at home with my Family but graduating next month while she got her own flat.Am 28 and shes 27.I will stand by her and do whatever it takes to make sure we all fine but right now,shes pushing me away.Please, how do i handle this situation/

mr toyboy is verified as being by the original poster of the questionWell thanx guys for all the advice.
Eventually, we sat and talked everything through but decided to give it a week or two before doing a pregnancy test, but alas, he period is here, so shes not pregnant.
Well, we ve decided its time for contraception because we dont want to go through this again.

As this wasn't planned I can only assume that you girlfriend was not wanting a baby at the moment, she may be pushing you away because she blames you for the situation..I know this sounds unreasonable but it sounds like she has her life together, flat, job and you don't as yet and she may be blaming you for putting her in this position. I think, even though you both don't know for sure it is never too soon to let her know that she has your support 100%. Things have a way of working out.

Start by finding out if she is pregnant - if she is pregnant then she must explore her options. If she is not pregnant - she must sort out some contaceptives since they are freely handed out at clinics.
