First she wants it darker then lighter then highlighted etc. Not only doesshe talk about it way more often than anyone Ive ever known but has colored it may times and willbuy hair color and then return it over and overagain trying to figure out what she will be happywith. She is 55 years old and will say she needs to dye her hair so she will look youthful for hermanagement job. Is this a sign of some compulsivesymptom or something? Reply to this Question Share |

It could be compulsive, but I think it's more likely she's feeling very self-conscious at the moment. As TasteofIndia said, this just happens to be how it's showing.

No, I think that she feels like the only way she can be beautiful is to have her hair the right color. Some girls obsess with diets, face creams, whatever... most girls talk to their girlfriends about this stuff, but your girlfriend seems comfortable talking to you.
Maybe she should go to a reputable salon and get the head hair dresser's opinion. With a little reassurance from professionals, maybe she will feel better about how she is looking. She seems to be self-conscious right now, and this is how it is coming out. Good luck!!
