If you are worried about the age difference I think you said it correctly, it is only a number. You both are mature enough to know what you want and if you both have feelings for each other then I say, "what's stopping you?" The discussions you'd want to have are...what do you each want out of a marriage..Kids? If you both agree on what you want, it's a marriage made in heaven.

I'd say, if you really feel that way about her and she opened up the door, then propose. That is ONLY if your ready for that kind of committment with this lady.
