Having serious pain after sex is something you have to go to the doctor for. Not to scare you, but, it could be something very serious. It is most likely an infection. But, it could be a sexually transmitted disease. Either way, you have to get to a clinic, because sometimes an infection can be worse than an std. It's your body, you need to know. Good luck.

Hi Sweetie,
You have "Honeymoon Cystitis". It's an old name for an infection that many of us get after having sex for the first time. The bacteria on his body is a bit different than yours and it has entered your urinary tract and caused an infection. You HAVE TO HAVE ANTIBIOTICS that are prescribed by a doctor right away. It can lead to KIDNEY infections, so treat it seriously and get yourself to a doctor.
In the future, pee always after having sex to help flush out foreign bacteria out of your urethra. You can drink cranberry juice too, it helps, but does NOT cure a bladder infection. It's really important to practice safe sex - use a condom every single time until you are married to protect your future fertility. Take care.

honey, i can see that you are terribly young. i was rather young when i started having sex as well. but that was when i was 16. i know what you mean when you say that you don't want anyone to know you are a virgin.
here is the deal...try to take it easy with sex for about a week, and let yourself heal. if it heals and feels better by then, then the next time you and your boyfriend have sex, tell him to take it easy since it is your first time. if it is still hurting after that then go to the nearest health department and tell them the problem. i am not sure how your health department works where you live but here, everything was confidential. they told my parents nothing because i told them i didn't want my parents knowing. they do papsmears, std tests, and preg. tests, and they put you on birth control all for free.
at least that is what they do here in florida.
if that isn't possible then your best bet is to go to your mother, or the closest thing to it and tell her you are sexually active. because something may be wrong and you don't want to go left untreated.
best wishes hun.
my advice for anyone as young as you...is don't have sex. you have plenty of time for that. although it is your decision and you are entitled to it.

The only way to find out is going to the doctor. There are so many things it can be. Without proper testing, you can't be sure what's going on.

As my doctor told me only last week (yes I have been having the exact same problem as you!), it is very common in us girls after we have sex. I was prescribed antibiotics which worked really well, but since these interfere with the effectiveness of the Pill then you would need to use condoms during the time you are taking the antibiotics and for a certain length of time afterwards. I would strongly suggest you see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis.
