Hi. For a little project I'm working on, please, would as many women as possible kindly list three gestures which they would deem to be 'romantic' towards them. Many thanks!

A reader, anonymous, writes (27 August 2008):

hold her face when you kiss her and slide your hands into her hair

instead of an ordianry text, record your message as a voice tag and send it as a mms just to say hello is enough(made me smile all day when sum1 did it for me i couldnt stop playing it)

run her a bath with candle light and stay to chat to her while she soaks, very relaxing very intimate and certainly shows she has your full attention, who knows you may be invited to get in with her, cant beat it.

can i have 4 please

dance in the kitchen / lounge etc to a slow tune that comes on the tv radio,

wish my fella had thought to ask the question you just asked hope it helps

A female reader, natasia United Kingdom +, writes (27 August 2008):

natasia agony aunt- gently and lovingly stroking me all over, then kissing my hands and forehead and holding me very tight and sleeping like that all night

- me waking up in the night to find him secretly kissing me, eg, on my hair

- coming into my room and finding something from him either on my pillow or somewhere i regularly go (eg, dressing table) - something like a note saying he loves me, or a flower, or something like that. maybe a classic cliche but it works for me.

and just always acting like he's a bit sad to leave me, and pretty happy to see my face when he comes back again.

Hehe, I'm only 12 but I am a right romantic.

Well, every girl's different but i like it when you hold my hand and smile, anywhere, like when your walking home together etc. just random.

Picnics are fun, especially when there isn't anyone around, and you can go on the swings and pretend you are kids again.

Oh, and i like nice flowers from local florists - not from tesco own brand and others. Support local shops - they just feel nicer.

ItsEmma agony auntWell, for me, personally, it's:

~Winking. Not in the jocky way, but saying something slightly sarcastic and then winking. Ha ha. Is that weird?

~Randomly holding my hand. It's just so sweet.

~Flowers. They're always nice, but I agree, don't get them from the supermarket! (:

A female reader, lotus mama808 United States +, writes (27 August 2008):

lotus mama808 agony auntThe one thing that turns me on, romanticlly, has to be originality in romance. A dozen roses with a card in each one explaining why you love her. A romantic dinner in a place other than a restraunt that has some meaning to the relationship. An odd gift that has something to do with an inside joke only my lover and I share. Make her remind herself of you when you are not around, and be original;)

A female reader, Fairy Godmother United Kingdom +, writes (27 August 2008):

Fairy Godmother agony aunt1. Flowers - needn't be expensive, just beautiful (and not in cellophane from a supermarket!).

2. An evening out that you have arranged and obviously put some thought into (having picked up on something she has said to you e.g. there is a new restaurant she would like to try).

3. A picnic - just a lovely afternoon somewhere peaceful, bringing along a picnic basket you have packed full of good food and wine, nice glasses and real napkins.
