In fact will be asking more than one, even perhaps lack of sexual knowledge. 1.If someone has an Std, or HIV, can someone get infected by kissing passionately?2.Is the only way to get a STD thru unprotected sex? What if two guys who are naked or they masturbate together, and they are exposed to each others semen at the same time, or its on each others body "sorry trying to make it less graphic", are they at risk of getting infected with an std(if the other has one 4 example, what if someone has a cut and it goes in the cut? or if it goes on the penis?3.is oral sex and swallowing also a risk?I know these questions are silly, but didn't know who else to ask, I hope I can get many answers to help me! also is there any site that I can find more questions and answers similar to the ones I have asked?I know some things might have been graphic, but I really need some advice or answers.

Hi there.
#1: "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) considers open-mouth kissing low-risk for transmitting HIV, especially if both partners are without sores or cuts on the mouth or lips. Saliva has certain proteins that make it an extremely poor carrier of HIV."
#2: The SF City Clinic gives the following information about risks of STD transmission. http://www.dph.sf.ca.us/sfcityclinic/stdbasics/stdchart.asp
At the bottom, they say "Kissing, mutual masturbation, and frottage or dry humping are considered safer sex activities, with little to no risk of STD transmission."
Note that "safer" does NOT mean totally safe.
#3: See the site above.

1) If person A has an STD, person B can contract the STD through passionate kissing. Saliva contains traces of blood in which many STD's are carried through.
2) No, there are other ways of getting STD's. Penetrative sex being one of them. Kissing and sharing other bodily fluids, even skin touching skin can contract STD's.
3) Oral sex in general can be a risk, as a recent study has shown, but that study was conducted on a group of people and hasn't been proven to be accurate. They say it's a risk of getting throat cancer, but of the women and men I know that have given blow jobs, none of them have had any life-threatening problems.
