it is normal at your age to get sore breasts - it can be connected to hormones, or just growing pains. i used to and still suffer from pain sometimes but dont worry. its normal!
your breast dont fill up before or during your period - however, women do retain more water so that could be it.
what is behind your breasts is muscle and then your ribs. and lumps around the nipple are normal - your breasts consist of fatty tissue and muscle.

1. Do sore breasts ALWAYS indicate that you're about to get your period, or can they be sore from something else?
A :They can be sore from wearing the wrong bra, form excersice, pregnancy and just from the general influx of hormones thruough the month.
2. Do they get filled up with something when you're about to have your period?
A:Not really. Women usually retain more water during your periode, same as the rest of your body.
3. What's behind them? Because when i do a self exam, i feel things in the back that i freak out about. I need to know what's back there that is normal, and not a problem.
A: behind your breasts are your ribs and some muscles. The tissue in your breasts is mainly fat tissue.
4. Is it ok if there's little bumps on the outside around the nipple? Like the size of a goosebump?
A: Yup perfectly normal.

Breasts sometimes get sore from the hormones related to your period. Sometimes they get sore from other reasons. I have had sore breasts and never connected it to the reason why. Often you will get your period without any soreness at all.
No, they dont 'fill' with anything before your period. I am guessing you are thinking like they 'fill' with milk when you are lactating. Nope.
Your breasts are made up of fatty tissue and your mammary glands. They will feel, quite normally, like tapioca pudding when you do your self exam. It is normal to feel small irregularities. They are not just solid fat to be completely smooth. They are also not round, but more tear drop shaped with the pointy end of the teardrop going up into your armpit. So be sure to examine all the way up to be thorough.
Yes, it is perfectly normal to have small bumps around your nipples.
