You can get pregnant ANYTIME of the month, whether its during, before or after your periods. Educate yourself and don't take any chances.

there is ALWAYS a chance of getting pregnant if you have sex. unprotected or otherwise.
as for ovulation...
a woman has an average 28 day cycle. if your cycle is different you count from your cycle
from the first day of your period (day 28 of your last cycle or day 1 of the new cycle)
that lasts about 5-7 days
around day 14 is when you ovulate
day 28 is when your period should start since you will build a lining to nourish the baby for two weeks... once your body knows there is no baby to nourish your period starts...
so if you have a 30 day cycle you would ovulate around day 15
a 32 day cycle around day 16 etc....
