Pregnant and very itchy!

I'm very glad to see there is a health section on here! Hopefully someone can give me some advice.

I am currently 15 weeks pregnant, and I noticed that in my first trimester my stomach was a bit itchy. Now for maybe the past week (sorry if this is gross) the skin just above my clitoris, on the pubic bone area, where hair grows, is very itchy. Along with the area between my bum and vagina, and around my bum. Its not my bum cheeks that are itchy, its the more private parts.

Is this because the skin is stretching? Or could I have something else wrong? It is so itchy, I find it more itchy in the evening, and I get very frustrated with scratching it. Will it go away or do I need to do anything about it?

If someone has had the same issue, please let me know what you had to do. I researched it on the internet, and another woman had the exact same issue at 33 weeks pregnant, but the answers on that site, didn't help.

Thanks.

P.S. I know it is something I should probably just go to the doctor about, but that is awkward and embarrassing for me, so I am seeking advice first. :)

To be clear, I know where babies come out of, and I know professionals do not monitor this site. All three people who answered my question, only paid attention to the P.S. part.

To restate what I was looking for, if any other pregannt woman have had the same issue, and what did they do or find out?

If you have not had this issue, or have not even been pregnant, your advice does not really matter in this situation.

I am getting prenatal care, and because this is my first baby I am not used to strangers examaning my body. Which I WILL get used to as my pregnancy goes on and more happens.

Thanks and looking forward to other advice.

If you wanted to avoid what you consider awkward and embarrassing queries for your doctor then you should have considered that before you got pregnant. You do know where the baby comes out when you give birth don't you?

Just see a doctor. People aren't qualified on here. Antenatal care is important and internet research isn't a good form of healthcare. It could be anything, probably some sort of infection. Either way, you need a professional opinion not a forum discussion.

There is no real health section here that is monitored by professional doctors. All the advise offered here is offered by mostly people like you and me putting in our two cents. You should go and see your doctor about your issue.

I really hope you are getting adequate prenatal care. You could have a yeast infection. Since it is symptomatic (bothersome itching), it would warrant treatment. Some infections can cause premature labor later on. So please see your health care provider as soon as possible and get this under control. Take care
