writes:im trying to get pregnant now for quite some time.i ovulated from 5/4 to 5/7/2008 and i had sex on 5/2 and 5/5 and 5/7 im experience light stomache cramps and dark nipples are these signs of pregnancy? i did both blood and urine tests on 5/13/2008 both say neg. so maybe i tested to early. does anyone have suggestions for me?

reader, anonymous, writes (19 May 2008): Yes you have tested to early it takes 7 days for the egg and sperm to interact, these are deffo signs of pregnancy especially the dark nipples. I would either wait for you to miss a period or if you can't wait then you can get a dear test that can pick up the hormone from 5 days before your period

 You tested too early. You have to wait 14 days after you think you conceived (ie, should be around about when your period is due). I had signs after 7 days: first were feeling tired, then going off my food - feeling just a bit like I had a stomach bug. Dark nipples also happened quite quickly. Just wait and test when your period is due. We all have to do it!! (the waiting, and the testing, and the hoping ...) Good luck!
