Hey well iv never watched porn before but my boyfriend wanted me to try it cause he thinks i would like it. When i watched it it made me throw up i was grossed out by it. Should i tell him i watched and it made me throw up? Is that normal to have that response to porn? Or should i say i just dint like it? But i dont know what to say if he asks why i dint cause it just made me feel like i have to puke. Thanks for any help.

Gabrielle Stoker agony auntIt's an extreme reaction, but not an abnormal one.

Of course you should tell him. It's always best to get these things outin the open as soon as possible.

DUDE I feel for you....my boyfriend has done the exact same thing. this is making me cry while typing this..this is a bad start for any relationship love. sure some ppl may consider it a turn-on, but, really? is a true love relationship between u and your man? or between ur man and a woman of whom he probably considers more attractive than you. (im not saying u are unattractive, but if you bf needs porn...then there's something wrong.) I've been with my guy for more than 4 years. just this last year I found him watching hentaii and downloading crap loads on his computer. I was sick, revolted, insulted, and confused. I thought he loved me, and that I was enough. apparently not. this is how it is with ((((almost)))) every man. they have something they consider love, and will throw it away on something as immature as porn. its not what u could consider as romantic as a meaningful two-some candlight dinner, now is it? love, please do something about this. nothing lasts forever. but if you want this too, think about what kind of person you will be stuck with for the rest of your life.

Miamine agony auntTell him you tried, but you found it so disgusting that it made you feel sick. Ask him not to show you pornography again, not to mention it, and not to use it while your around.

No your not strange, some people do find pornography disgusting enough to get physically sick. You don't like it. You looked, but it's not something for you.

A female reader, Philosophyzer United States +, writes (23 August 2010):

Philosophyzer agony auntI don't think that your reaction is exactly normal. Vomiting at the sight of porn is a bit of a violent reaction, no? However, it is not uncommon to not like porn or have a feeling of disgust or guilt upon watching it. Some people just hate porn. Many females do. However, getting physically sick is slightly extreme.

My advice is to tell him that you don't like it if he asks or tries to watch any with you. If he asks why, be honest and tell him you think it is gross. You don't exactly have to tell him that you get sick, but just make it clear that it is not for you. Hopefully he understands.

But, maybe you watched something that you just weren't into? I think you should try to explore the world of porn a bit more on your own and see if there is anything you are not repulsed by. But I understand if you don't want to. Though, it is always good to keep an open mind!

Best of luck! ;-)
