A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So i am in a relationshio with this guy and i am unsure if i should stay...

So here's the thing iwe have dated for two years now and have had a child who is only 6 months old. We have had many of fights and been through alot and i am unsure if i am only staying becuase of the baby or because i am scared

Here are some details: in the last year things went from bad to worse he was talking to his ex girlfriend who lives out of state and would lie and hide it from me and i found out it was more than friends in the end but i still stayed with him

Then came our child and since then i feel like a single mother pretty much and we have faught so much about stupid little things

My friends tell me to leave and i am unsure if they just want their old friend back or if they are truly being sincere when telling me i need to get out of it.

so if you have any advice for me please let me know

Oh and P.S i sat at our apartment all alone on valentines day while he went and ran around and went to his moms

A female reader, _Katy_Did_ United States +, writes (17 February 2010):

_Katy_Did_ agony auntIt's a tough decision since you two have a child together. But if he's not being there for you anyway, what difference would it make? It might be better for you and your child to eliminate the stress he causes you. He's acting like a child and obviously hasn't had to grow up like you have. Get rid of him.
