writes:Heya, well I had my baby 5 weeks ago (through cersearian, I'm breast feeding him - I was told that when breast feeding it takes *at least* a few months for your periods to come back... usuaully takes around 6 months... But this morning I got up and I'd come on... it is *definitely* my period... is this normal seeing as I only had my son 5 weeks ago?

reader, anonymous, writes (9 December 2008): Hey you are perfectly normal dear.It depends on each woman's body.Relax.Nothing to worry.I suggest you take it easy for the next few days.Make your partner/husband make you help with the housework.Its very uncomfortable having a period and taking care of a baby.Drink lots of fluids,health drinks etc.,

 Yes absolutely normal - I don't believe the breast feeding has anything to do with it. Mine came back 4 weeks after the c section. Be careful though because you will find you are very fertile at this momnt in time so please use protection unless you want another baby straight away.

 Yes. It happens at various times. Lots of women breast feed for a year or 2, and their periods come back way before that dont they. Its all getting back to normal. Thats a good thing ey.
