It seems wierd at first, but seriously, you dont even notice your on, except for the few minutes a day you spend changing them. Their designed so you cant feel them inside you, when inserted correctly. So be brave and give them a go :)!

Try using overnight pads with wings on your heaviest days, and changed constantly to avoid leakage.

Ok well there are the pads with wings, that way they never leak onto your pants. Other than pads I'm afraid your only option is tampons.
Now I remember aged 13 I hated tampons too, I think they are only something you can use properly and feel comfortable with when you are older (I think I was about 17 when I switched) - but they are so much better than pads. I cant imagine life without then now and pads seem like the most disgusting thing to me now, I could never go back! I think when you get a bit older you will be more comfortable with your body and you will be happy to find out more about yourself "down there" so to speak, so using a tampon wont be a big deal. I dont know if you have tried non-applicator tampons but thats what I used when I first tried because they are so much easier than the applicators - the applicators are complicated and can put it in at a funny angle sometimes! So if you feel brave maybe try a non-applicator tampon when you are not on your period so it doesnt seem so gross - all you have to do is relax and insert it, like you would say insert your finger inside you. With tampons the key is practice, the more you try it the easier you will find it. Some people try it once, hate it and that puts them off forever. BUt they are a million times better than pads if you just keep trying!
You will just have to keep on using pads I'm afraid, you could try ones that have a higher absorbancy, plus make sure you are changing it regularly. Apart from that there is not a lot you can do I'm afraid!
I hope this helps and good luck!
