Parents: birth control for their 17 year old daughter?

Hi everyone. This question isn't from me its for a friend of mine whose scared to ask her parents about birth control so she asked me to post this. Shes 17 going on 18 and is still a virgin. She knows things could happen in the heat of the moment so she wants birth control. She's scared to ask her parents so she wants to know what other parents think of birth control and whether they would give it to their 17 year old. Thanks!
